Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!
As a teacher, my goal to to guide students toward being confident, happy, independent learners and to help them do fantastically in school.
In 7th grade Reading Support, the goal is for students to become better readers by practicing reading everyday in class using a structured program. Students will read and discuss a new book every one or two days. A more detailed explanation of our reading class is here.
In 7th grade Math, all students need a math notebook (graphing notebook greatly preferred), a pencil and an eraser. Students will be issued a math book for each chapter. Be careful: lost or destroyed books cost $10. We'll be learning about positive and negative numbers, scaling, probability, volume and area, and algebra.
Students: If you don't understand what's happening in class or fall behind, talk to your teachers. If you need school supplies, talk to us and we can work with you. We are here to help! I am almost always available to meet before school from 8-00am to 8:20am.
Please feel free to contact me at via email at [email protected] or (847) 859-8599.
Have a great year! Ms. Fordon
